Wedding Photography for Couples Who Keep It Real
authentic captures, prioritizing presence over perfection
You want to remember REAL moments on your wedding day, not being directed all day to get the “perfect shot.”
I think the “perfect shot” is one that captures your true essence; One that encapsulates the array of emotions you feel on the day you get to marry your best friend. To me, the perfect shot can transport you right back to that moment and really make you feel.
I will definitely help you out with posing for portraits and group shots, but I mostly like to follow alongside you and your partner, seeking out genuine moments and capturing the day as it really is – the way you’ll want to remember it. From joyous laughter to tender glances, I aim to deliver a collection of photographs that perfectly reflect the beauty, intention, emotion, and FUN of your wedding day. I will give direction when necessary and make little adjustments here and there to get better lighting, angles, backdrops, etc., but overall, I intend to capture the day as it naturally unfolds, letting you be more present with each other and your loved ones.
I will cover formals, traditional shots, group photos, special requests, details, etc. and incorporate perspective, light, and environmental elements, blending documentary and artistic styles. My edits are crisp and clean, using true to life color to ensure your photographs not only reflect the beauty of your wedding day, but also stand the test of time, and current trends, preserving the essence of your celebration for years, and generations to come.
Above all, I understand that most people do not particularly enjoy or feel confident having their photo taken (I am one of those people) and clients regularly warn me…
“We’re really awkward in photos.”
I love to prove that sentiment wrong. I’m very laid back and like to keep shoots light and fun, so if you don’t like being in front of a camera, know that it is my mission to make it as painless as possible, giving you more cues that foster authenticity rather than directing you into stiff or “trendy” poses that just aren’t you. My goal is to make the whole experience feel more like a casual hang out than an intimidating photoshoot. People almost always leave my sessions saying, “that was actually really fun!” Mission accomplished.
I want your wedding photos to feel authentic, effortless, and be a genuine reflection of your day – the laughter, the hugs, the nerves, the random chaos from your weirdo friends and family, and all the in-betweens you didn’t even realize were happening. I try to capture it all – not just you two, but all the people, places, and decisions that make your day special.

Choosing the right photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make in the process of planning your wedding. It’s the vendor you will be spending the most time with and the one in charge of capturing the memories so you can let loose and have fun.
Even if we’re not a good match, I can help you get clear on your vision, know what questions to be asking, and get you pointed in the right direction.
